A rare Hermès silk scarf. Hermès silk twill square. 90cm x 90cm carré.
The designer, Hugo Grygkar, a prolific artist, was a forerunner for Hermes designing from 1937 onwards.
'La Marine en Bois' was first edited in 1958. This particular design has a mustard border, the ships and seas that make up the center are in shades of green, with touches of gold and blue, on an ivory background. There is a tiny stain and signs that this scarf has been worn. It remains an essential Hermes accessory that will compliment all your outfits.
The Hermes Maison has been producing luxury French products for 6 generations. They are a family affair, independent, creative and responsible.
